To reverse... simply turn one of the magnets around..... then they will repel. 
didnt i say reverse polarity   :)

Although both magnets look (generally) "about" the same size, to be able to pull all that's behind it (including The Mask), it would need to be quite considerable in size no?

Yes, I'm cynical.  I thought those so called "whoosh lines" were actually exhaust fumes from the whale blubber fueled engine behind the decorative magnets.
