So did any of you watch this or go see it live? Being a Lynch fan since the Dokken era, I was very let down by his performance in this. I've actually not enjoyed his playing in years. He's always been a bit of a quirky player in his style, but this was just too quirky and nothing really "guitar god-like" to me. Not that he needed to play 1000 notes per second or anything, but there was 0 phrasing. It sounded like a bunch of quirky, half blues solos that didn't speak to me a little bit. Tone was a bit bassy and mid-rangey, the audio was so low I can't believe Sweetwater allowed it to be that way and well, though I never expect perfect live performances, this was nothing special and needed a lot more work and planning than they put into it.
I wound up skimming through it once he started talking about all the native indian/political/genocide stuff. I agree with his words and think it's awesome that he is involved with stuff like that while trying to make a difference...but you have to keep a balance of more music than your political views on the world. It's just a downer to me and his playing being nothing special REALLY brought me down.
