today that next week they are going to teach
me how to eat and after all these years without
pills I'll be eating them every day.

All because I'm such a sweet guy. They told me that too
and that my score was over 300. I think it's beginner luck
because it's a new game to me but they seem very nice
about teaching me all the rules to it.

I decided to start my weekend a little early. To bad the
machine shop didn't finish making my tools so I could work
on my guitar...I may set a posting count record that'll make
Bapu and Beagle proud of me!

Ugh...I hope they are small pills. Should be a great weekend!

300--that's a perfect score in bowling.    Good luck with your training and posting.

Unfortunately the issue with my feet, the reason I went
to see the doc, will probably be something I will have to
learn to live with. Damage done the way he put it.
He briefly explained but had made the point that I will be
learning more about my life changes next week.

I've been reading some about diabetes...glad it's just pills.
I'd probably put an eye with needles.

Well 57 years with no issues- I'm sure not complaining. Just changing.

That's quite an achievement: "57 with no issues".....you've done a good job so far, so just keep on trucking.....
If the mind doesn't give up or get stale, then the body will surely do well. Your hobbies will keep ya going!!

Yes it could have been worse, though still it requires you to take extra care. Eye health is another area you need to learn more about and take care.

Wish you well.

300? 300? 300?

I am a type II Diabetic. The highest I ever (self tested) was 220 and it was temporary thing (oddly I was sick with a cold at the time). Typical testing is 160 for me. TBH I have not tested in over a year though.

Thank you guys.

Bapu he only said I was diabetic- no type given. They told me that a blood test they
did gave a 380 and he said "normal" is 140.

He said to meet with the lady to learn about eating/life changes and he'd see me in 3 months.

No more than I know right now it's just strange.

I have been reading about it this evening and the food part is strange too....it's very much
as I eat now. I did see that ice cream is history...not happy about that. I guess consumption
won't be much of a change.

Not concerned with weight...I'm 208 and know if they want me to lose some it can't be much...I'm 6'1".
Proud to say that not very much of that is fat.
Excellent blood pressure.
New glasses not long ago- excellent eye pressure. Minor prescription change.

I feel healthy with feet that feel like I tip-toed across a hot beach....and mentally drained from not really
understanding it all. Have a feeling I'll be learning though.

Sorry to hear about it Michael, but take it very seriously!  Some extremely nasty things can happen if you don't (like losing your eyesight, having a foot amputated, etc.).  I got to hear about all of these when my Mom was being tested after having an infection.  Good luck!
