The reason I say go with EMT is to get a heavy duty rod set up it will be high dollar compared to this that will do the same thing if not better.

The rod mounts are not exactly what I was talking about but I couldnt find them on Lowes site-I know they have them though

I've just discovered Lowes 2 days ago - my wife's the one w/ the power tools and all that stuff. The only tools I've owned in my life were the ones I need to adjust my guitar, seriously. lol

Looks like we'll be spending quite a bit of time shopping there.

I just didn't want to have that open closet staring at me....

I thought that at first, then realized it was the perfect place for the guitar rack and other things you want close but not in the way of your space so I left mine open, but a curtain would certainly work too!

Yeah, if I had nice racks of gears, it'd look cool.

But a little preamp, an audio interface and a couple of cheap DBX compressor is nothing too impressive. Plus, there are things I just don't want to see anymore, like my old mixer.

I'm going for something totally Feng Shui here. You guys have seen my current totally minimalist set up, and I'm trying to get rid of some stuff. The only thing I am adding in the room/on my desk is the screen and maybe a control surface. 

Some stuff will just vanish. The (eventual) tower will go directly in the closet (with proper ventilation of course) so the empty closet comes handy.

Well, mine's pretty unimpressive. Traveling means keeping only the essential and 3 guitars won't fill a closet. ;)
