And it's the big clean up time here. We have a possible renter visiting tomorrow.

It's delightfully grey and rainy outside - something that's kinda rare around here - and I'm cleaning up the house while listening to Faith by The Cure (the 2005 remaster). Hello, old friends!! It had been a while.

Man, I love the simplicity of that music. I'd like to do something like that someday, so minimalist and evocative.

And also, for no apparent reason, I suddenly feel like buying a chorus and a flanger.

Glad to see you're not gonna keep on and on about moving house  - can't wait for tomorrow's ..........so, only 10 days left.

Have you put this on facebook ? I think you should.

BTW, I just had some pizza and tomorrow I'm going to have some toast for breakfast . I may put some marmite on it ;)

On a serious note, I was listening to a " A Forest" earlier and thinking that I should dig out some other Cure tracks too. Much goodness !!

Well I don't eat bacon and I haven't played anything in Am for ages, so my choice of CH topics is pretty limited. ;)

I've just finished Faith and went on directly to 17 seconds. And I have enough to do that I should have time for Pornography too then maybe something odd like The Top or Head on the Door.

Now that really is too much information ;)

LOL

You know, I was thinking? It's funny you mention Facebook, because, come to think of it, a big part of what's in my newsfeed is related to either politics or religion (or philosophy), the two big no-no here, and probably my two biggest topic of interest besides music.

You see, this is what happen when I'm not working on music. My post count goes way up, all irrelevant stuff obviously.

Are you the new hall monitor? the one that decides what's worthy of a post and what's not? Just curious. ANd should you be unable to decide what to eat tomorrow, give me a ring, I've got an idea.

Heh, I've got a burned CD for the car (no "real" ones ever go in the car to be stolen) and those are exactly the two albums that are on it.  I used to have a cassette tape with one album on each side.  Those two really go together well.  I also have the DVD Trilogy where they play live, in order, Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers.  I REALLY like this DVD!

My Beatles albums and my The Cure collections are 2 of the things I don't carry w/ me - the originals I mean. It's all on a HD.  And they're my 2 biggest collections too. Well, since my ex sold my Hendrix stuff - now that was a museum.

I haven't seen a huge part of my Beatles collection in almost 20 years. It's in a box somewhere at my dad's place - if he didn't sell it to drink. lol

But you know what? MP3's work just as well, and no matter what anyone says, they sound at least as good as some of those 40 year old vinyls. Plus, I don't have to worry about breaking them or someone stealing them...

I'm thinking that Trilogy needs to be watched sometime this weekend...

I'm with you about the mp3's - heck, I'm all in at 192kbps or better - over two Terabytes worth!  I'll be unbelievably depressed if anything happens to all of those!
