I have NO clue why that triggered the filter or what I even typed.

Food delivery guys get tips. As do taxi drivers. At least they do in Newcastle - might be a different story down south where people are as tight as a gnat's chuff ;)

I always give the pizza guy a fiver. Word  got out and now I seldom wait more that 15 minutes after calling it in. They deserve a tip because it's minimum wage and they drive their own cars.

Nobody delivers food around here. It can get in a taxi by itself.

420 moon's ago i worked in Glasgow city centre , Just off Saint Vincent street was a boozer called Smiths that had wenches(and mighty pretty at that) that served you at your table and they alway's had a tip jar on tray. It was cool not to push and shove your way to bar.

I tip at restaurants, usually the standard ten percent.

I used to prefer tipping in cash but lately I am finding that I forget to take loose change out with me, so I usually end up putting it on the card. Not sure who actually gets the tip when I do it that way... I think some places nowadays tell their staff to stick any tip they pick up into a pot, or something...

Went for a Chinese meal in Manchester the other week, on the way to see Percy Plant, and when I checked the bill, at the bottom it said, "service charge included," so I thought, that'll do me... And I didn't tip.

I don't frequent pubs much nowadays. When I did, and I felt inclined to do so, I would say, "and have one for yourself." Going back a bit, and even then the bartender would say, "thanks," and then put a couple of quid in a glass and not actually have a drink. Otherwise they'd be a bit wrecked in short order haha.

Food deliveries... Yeah, I give most a standard quid tip. Not much, I know... Not thought about giving much more...

I've never tipped anyone for carrying cases to a room or anything like that. Not cos I'm a minge bag, I don't thing, it's just something I have never got used to doing.

Guys, it won't get you any nearer... Besides, non-cute waitresses need money too.

In Glasgow it's pretty common to tip at restaurants, although less so at pubs in the city.

Outside the city it's more common to offer the bar staff a drink, but not more than one in a night - i.e. not every round! It's pretty normal for them not to take the drink - either by politely refusing, or choosing to put the equivalent cash in a tip jar.

On the subject of restaurants, some establishments to "pool" their tips and share them equally among the staff. So if you're particularly impressed with service from an individual, make sure you just give them the cash and specifically say its for them.
