This is the same model I just ordered , this one should prove to be a good starter guitar for learning on and should sound great in my songs when I get that far with it in a year or so maybe two years .

It looks pretty and so does the case. Doesn't sound like a Les Paul but that's okay because it's not one. It's much nicer than my first two electrics. Have fun with it!

Thanks , I hope it will end up good as a first starter guitar . The price was right
for this type of guitar , can't afford those higher end Les paul's your talking about .
If after a few years I improve playing it then hopefully I'll be able to buy a different
one like a good Fender Strat , see what happens in the next two years .

ive got 2 les pauls, one is an epi like yours and i love it,there is a bit difference in the action and over all feel, but not much, the thing i like about the epi is the tone and volume knobs are pop up/ and phase switches like jimmy page has.its such a boost.

really nice choice, like the color on this one you got.
mine is white with gold hardware.
my studio(the real les paul) is sunburst.

im also fasinated by strats.love them.

Thanks Chuck now I might kick myself in the ASS for making the switch back to the first electric guitar I picked out the other day . I just called and cancelled that guitar order and went with this Traveler Guitar for $549.00 .

This guitar is very small in size but it has a full size fret board and the neck is set up differently as you can see .
But heres the cool thing about this guitar it sounds great as a lead playing guitar and has great electric struming sounds to it sort like this guitar you told me you had that I just cancelled .

The other thing is this Traveler EG-1 Guitar has this built in AMP to practice with is your traveling and you can plug in any MP3 player and jam along with your music for practice so that was another reason I went with this guitar .
Another reason is its made really rock solid , maple neck and adjustable trust rod but other great features .

I hope I made the right choice switching guitars , if I didn't then I will have to chain my wife to the wall and scream at her ! LOL
Yea with this guitar the guitar tuners are built into the body , the neck looks like its been chopped off but thats the way its made .
Alot of people who are pro players say they really like this guitar , it got great reviews from many different sites I searched out last week  .

Anyway I hope I made a wise discision , I think the Traveler will work out great to learn on .
I can always buy another one in a year , maybe a good $1,000.00 guitar on sale but first I have to be able to play the guitar .
Practice till my fingers drop off thats going to be me for the first year , wife will beat me silly if I don't learn to play and then buy another expensive guitar ! LOL

By the way I like your music , are you using Sonar Home Studio XL ? I have that DAW too but use Project 5 mostly .

Cheers - James

Now you're going to be limited with tone by having only one pickup.

Yep, It's nice to have the neck and bridge tone options to choose from.

The last Epi Paul that I had, I changed out the pick ups to Gibson pick ups and the guitar came really close to sounding like a real Les Paul, which I also own.  In a lot of ways, I actually thought it sounded and played better.  I ended up pulling the pick ups out, putting the old back, and selling it for a new Epi Dot 335.  I put the pick ups in that one and it is really sweet now as well.

I stayed up last night thinking about this Traveler guitar , I started thinking about that one pickup and the Bolt on neck wondering just how good is that compaired to a glued on jointed neck .
If something happens with the neck on the glued on type your screwed when
trying to have it fixed and could be costly .
I spent all of last night hunting for a different guitar and found a few neck-thru-necks and they say they are the best to buy if you want good TONE and Sustain .

I sort going crazy over searching for the best less expensive good starting guitar that is built to last , has great playabity , great neck & fret action with no fret buzz .
Thats the guitar I'm looking for , now Fender makes this $379.00 Telicaster guitar thats made in China but is suppose to be really great . It got really great reviews and sounds great too but that one is a glued on neck .

I'm still looking , my wife thinks I'm crazy for not wanting this Traveler guitar because of all the built-in features but like you said it has only one pickup on it . Its getting plenty of great reviews and I think its 1005 American made too .
We searched everywhere to find out where that guitar was made and all we can come up with is California .
