I love how all the dumped threads look new to me (since I avoid those nasty back alleys upstairs) so I start reading only to see that they've been going on for a while before I ever see them.  Once again, I can't help but notice that the real tools seem to post upstairs - more support for my decision to avoid those places.

All of that said, based on the topic title, I thought this entire thread was about a new plectrum.  Imagine my disappointment when I find it's actually about a guitar...

Hey thanks , it will be a blessing to have a real guitar when adding guitar to my
music instead of having to use my heyboard and this $100.00 guitar synth software
I purchased online that is worthless and sounds crappy using my keyboard .

Which $100 (worthless) guitar synth software?

(But (IMO), getting a real guitar will definitely be a better way than settling for the alternatives)

Its called STRUM ELECTRIC , your suppose to be able to add guitar to your
music using a keyboard but its CRAP for what they ask . I paid $100.00 when it
was on sale during last years holidays . They normally charge $180.00 , glad I
didn't pay that much for it .
I have tried a few different guitar software products , paid $160.00 for the first one and it too wasn't all that great but better then the second one .
Thats why I decided screw all this software guitar crap I'm going to buy a really
decent guitar , take some guitar lessons and hopefully in a year or two from now
I will be able to add REAL guitar to all my music if I wish to do that plus I want have
ask anyone hear or antwhere else to add guitar for me .
Being able to play everything myself is much more rewarding and fun too .

I talked to the sales person I have been dealing with for years at SweetWater
and he is going to give me the same deal the local store is going to give me in
price so today I cancelled with our local music store and and will be buying from
SweetWater this coming Friday . My guitar and AMP should be shipped out this
Friday he said COOL ! The guitar case will be sent to me a few days later , they
haven't gotten their shipment in and will be the following tuesday .

I'll have to wait another week to play my new guitar but thats cool because
I would rather buy from SweetWater , they ship everything in perfect shape .

I think Epiphone make great guitars. I'm one of the lucky few to have picked up one of their "Spotlight" PRS copies in 89 or so, they only made a few before the threat of lawsuit from PRS made them stop production. It really is a sweet guitar and I've always toyed with the idea of buying another Epi based on the build quality of that one. In fact I'm in need of a humbucker guitar so may pick up an Epi Les Paul later this year.
