Great playing, Kenny! You always seem to hit the sweet spot with your melodies and you know when to let the melody run and when to tear it up. I love your stuff!

Hi Kevin ,

When I was much younger I used to play all my guitar solo's Balls to the Walls most if not all of the time .
When I started meeting people that worked in studio's , engineers , sound men , producers and other players ..
They all pretty much told me that once I learned to slow down a little and once I concentrated on my phrasing that I would have a lot to offer as a player ....Looking back I think they were right ...

I'm very pleased that you enjoyed my guitar playing on this song to me that means I was able to use my guitar playing as a way to build an emotional musical bridge that reached you .

Thank you for the comments you left over at S C ...BTW ..I happen to like the same sections of the tune you like .

all the best ,

Kenny

I'm always impressed by your guitar playing Kenny but this one surpasses everything else I've heard from you. Great stuff!

Hi Bjorn ,

The way I'm playing my guitar here is pretty much my most relaxed natural state of playing ...
My start was Rock and Blues guitar ...all the other stuff and styles of playing got piled on later on in life ..
thank fully non of that got filtered into this tune ...

I will often play the guitar just to escape the clutches and bondage of myself  ,  it is nice when I can reach a listener who can kick back and enjoy the guitar playing

Thank you very much for the kind words

excellent mr. Ken!  you're crankin some great stuff out!  love it!

Hi Reece , thank you very much

Wayfarer
Dug it. Reminds me of a sped up version of "Cause We Ended As Lovers." I can't give a better compliment than that.

Hi Bill,

A sped up "Cause We Ended As Lovers." Yes, that is a very interesting comparison you have brought up ..
Now that I think about it ..the shoe may fit ..
When I was very young I started out with Roy first and then much later on I got into Jeff ...
Both Are Great Players in my book  ....
thank you for the kind words

all the best,

Kenny

Love the energy. Great playing! Wonderful tones. You know what you're doing for sure. I have an old digitech 2101 signal possessor, and tried to use it as a pre-amp, but too much white noise. The only way I could get rid of the noise was to eq the top freq's, but I hate doing that for some reason. It a shame though, cause I learned some of my best licks on that box (digital/analog hybrid). Your setup sort of inspires me to pull it out of the closet and have another hair pulling go at it, and for that my gray hair hates you, but the rest of me loves your tune!
:)
Dean

Hi Dean , thank you for the song listen and kind word on my guitar tone and playing
I go nuts every time I have to pull out my pedal board . I want to kick the thing clear across the room but every time I kick it I get a new sound I like

love the drive in this tune. Great job Kenny!!

Hi Tom! Thank you very much for your comment it is appreciated

Jesse Screed
your playing is great as usual.

the thing I like most about this though is the tone you are coaxing out of that tele.

@ 2:15 you nail the changes just fine.

the drums are the backing track don't do your playing justice, kind of robotic, to bad they didn't record the backing track with a real drummer.

did you just play the lead part? or did you do any of the other guitar parts too?

you got skills boy, but I like your tunes better.  this is a good display of talent, but on the tracks you do from scratch there is more heart, more keni.

we should collaborate sometime,no?

Jesse Q. Screed

Hi Jesse ,

I don't always play a solid body guitar . But when I do .
I prefer to play a Fender Telecaster .
Play Fender Telecasters my Friends

PS I will be happy to change that when a real nice Gibson 335 comes along

The track it self is pretty much what it is ....I only played the lead guitar part on it ,the drums I had no control over.

Yeah Sure ,  it's only natural that a 4 min lead guitar solo may get a little thin around the edges for most folks ...
I may put a lot more into my own writing and tunes , the thing is I always put my whole soul , mind and emotions into any of the music I post regardless of the source ...
I would not want it any other way .

Thank you for giving this a listen and commenting . I'm glad you like my guitar playing on this

all the best,

Kenny
