I dumped Firefox over a year ago, then tried it again lately when I heard they revamped it.  It's faster, but that's where the upside ends.

Most definitely. Earlier this year I started using a browser called Vivaldi (perfect moniker for a musician), and really like it.  It's innovative in many ways, still has some growing to do as far as features and extensions, but development is going at a good pace, and they actually listen to user suggestions on which features are most needed.

One the biggest selling points for me is, Google's tentacles are nowhere to be seen.

I pretty much use Edge all the time now on my Windows 10 laptop and desktop. I did not care for it at first but I like it a lot now. On an old Vista desktop Firefox seems to be the best option.

I dislike Chrome with a passion.

So yeah... I think I'm gonna have to do a system restore. I've been trying to give FF "Quantum" a chance but it's just borked up too many things.

For one it's mangled my font settings (apparently now FF thinks NTR is teh bomb but it's also taking an extra second to load the durned font for some reason).

NoScript is now completely unrecognizable (and as of this point unuseable) which is making all sorts of pages load all screwy and against my previous rules.

The tabs at the top are now "transluscent" showing my desktop (I think or they just chose a REALLY bad color scheme) so there is this bar of blue amongt a sea of white and it's very distracting to the eye.

The options area got borked out a while ago but I had figured out the new way... it seems they went and let a bunch of gerbils on acid redesign it yet again...

and so forth.

No, sir. I do not like it.
