... I lurked around on the Premonus forums and came across an interesting thread in regards to how well Studio One handles large and complex projects.
System specs please.

I've already 'demoed' Presonus Studio using XP, 32, (older system for example; 2.gig Ram), loaded up multiple audio tracks, several instrument plugins and effects such as T-Racks and Ozone.  The system handled it all surprisingly well, performance meters well below 50 percent. And I didn't experience any sluggish UI behavior (as mentioned in that thread)..... continue.....

To be fair, I trialed the demo and I should point out that I didn't have Melodyne ARA activated and my guess is that would drain a lot on system resources however, Melodyne can be disabled/enabled in preferences.  For XP 32 users with minimal ram working with Melodyne should still be doable, for more info please visit Celemony's site.

Specs According to Presonus website:

WINDOWS® XP, VISTA®, 7 (32- OR 64-BIT)
Hardware Minimum
Intel Core Duo or AMD Athlon® X2 processor
2 GB RAM
Hardware Recommended
Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD Athlon X4 or better
4 GB RAM
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Internet connection (not required on machine where Studio One is installed but needed for activation)
DVD-ROM drive
A monitor resolution no lower than 1280 x 768 pixels
20 GB hard-drive space

I was jokin' 'round with ya.  There's a few guys upstairs that won't even comment on anything unless you give them your system specs.

I hear nothing bug good things about S1 2.4. I bought a version of it but haven't used it in a long time. I use The Big 'R' from time to time. Done a few small projects in it. I should load it up again and check it out a little more closely now that I have some free time on my hands.
