For some reason I'm thinking another project is not a good idea.

Forget I mentioned it......please.

We all had only heard spacey's acoustic guitar parts and created our parts from that. I thought that was the "experiment". But I have been wrong many a time before.
I did not know that. If all the parts were written against only the guitar part then the project
was a success.
I thought the tune had been constructed differently.

Well.....that is a good thing. I'm glad I found that out. Thanks Ed.

I have to ask... are we talking 2"x4"; 4"x4"; 1"x6"; 2"x12" or some other sort?

I think I may have misunderstood you.

My bad.

No sir.

noldar12 saw the thread title and was making a joke about the word 'bored' ... inferring that he misunderstood, for comedic value, and put forth actual 'board' sizes.

For even further comedic value, and to lighten the somber mood laid upon us this past evening, I made an off color joke suggesting that I have an 'inny', just to try and lighten the mood some more.

My apologies.

I think your original thread idea is a great one, and I'm sorry I brought up a subject that stopped it in it's tracks.

I love hearing the collaborations here. I find it incredible that we live in an age where we can communicate with people all over the world, put a song together, and make it sound like it was done live with everyone in the same room.

Thanks,

Bub.

Bub I was generalizing about the whole place...just everything seems to be
way out there.

You have no reason to aplolgize. I enjoy your posts very much.

I thought the original idea was good....it was simply for us to hear something that was
indeed "the blind leading the blind" - I thought it would be fun to hear what the tune would
sound like when everybody heard only one part and in that trip it was an acoustic guitar
part. I think it's fantastic know that I know it is exactly that. I would never imagined a tune
that good from everybody writing to only one instrument without the influence of all the others.

This time I thought it would be cool to hear what happened from just a beat. Naturally
it would have to be in a song structure but to hear what each instrument did to just a beat
and written chord chart to see if they somehow wound up working together.

I think it would be much easier to take a certain "group" for it. One designated person for each part than to have to filter through like 5 bass parts.

So maybe....Drum part to song structure being the only audible part. Chord chart for all to follow and maybe the genre. Drums, bass, rhythm guitar, keys, leads and vocal.- six participants and one producer.

Just throwing something out there that may be a fun thing to do.

I think it should start with the cowbell.

I'm sure Karyn would agree and we all know there's never enough, ya?

Kord progression:

In the key of "C", in keeping with CH values, would that be vi, vi, vi, vi, vi, vi, vi, vi, vi, vi, vi, vi...?

Or keeping with the key of "C" theme, are you looking for something more complex, like ii/V, iii/IV, iv/iii, iii/IV, ii/V, iv/iii...?
