All I know is I do not want this forum to fail.

Forum=people, not software (that has already failed in so many ways, Mike?)

Ya.

But strangely enough it's the software that's been the thing that's brought this ecclectic cauldron of wonderment together in the first place.

I love the Console view it has.

For whatever reason, console views are the least of my desires. And I used to own a 24 channel 8 bus console. I work exclusively in TV. I find that layout, for me, make perfect sense. Maybe it's my IT background (reminds me of databases?).

I have the Tascam FW-1884 that is now just a controller and if I want to move faders I have that (in banks of 8) for up to 256 faders.

For editing yes, but if I'm tracking multiple instruments, I find that the console is easier to move in and make changes.  I was totally in agreement with you several years back and working alone all the time.  Another thing I noticed in the TV is that I mix with my eyes and I get caught up in whether transients line up with each other visually instead of how it sounds and feels.

I do use the console view, even though I have the Tascam FW control surface and an Alpha Trak, I like the visual feedback and I will grab the moose and drag a fader sometimes...

I also detest the time difference between "us" and our Brit/Pacific friends, just when things get good the English are going to bed

the Pacific heck I dont know what their clock indicates...
