  • Is using X2a with no crashes or (for me) reproducible bugs cheating? (p.4)

HoBoy it got serious here all of a sudden.

It was joke and only partially serious. Take particular note of "(for me) reproducible" in the thread title.

FWIW:
Danny and I had a conversation about 64 vs 32 bit X2a where he cited a problem with the Cori Yarkin Floating demo on his 64bit Jim Roseberry machine. He said he could not run the demo even once with 64 sample buffers in 64bit X2a without problems. I loaded it up and played the demo three full times back-to-back. No problems.

Bub cited a "hidden track" bug he discovered (in another thread) that I posted a vid of my understanding of his scenario and the bug did not happen (for me).

I'll be the first to admit that I use X2a in a "limited" feature set. I do a little more MIDI than Mooch, but not by far. I probably should be bound, gagged and given 40 lashes for this parody fred.

I'll see if I can jump in on Billy's next apology fred (if I can be arsed to find it) and allude to an apology there.

C'mon, lighten up. This is the CH, no?

Yep, just about at that point I reckon.

<update: I did confirm what Bub was saying. It required multiple folders. I had only made one folder.>

Confirmed Bub's discovery.

Kori Yakkin does.

Seriously, the little I have done has worked. I have made every attempt to stay ALL 64 bit (Freddie said it matters). NO bitbridge or jbridge. I've about given up on trying to record acoustic guitar for now and am going to do something with Amplitude and either BFD Eco, EZD, or SD3. I recorded a few things with S7PE and had no problems, mostly guitar using a POD II.

Then again... I may try the acoustic thing again tomorrow. I still have mics set up but I don;t have a dedicated place right now... however I do have a large room. I know I am dragging my feet. I feel like I am dragging myself kicking and screaming into doing something that I really want to do and I know that makes absoutely no sense, but what in this life makes sense?

I know! What I REALLY need want is time released fod so I don't have to get up and cook or eat. I think that about sums it up.

Now you just need to learn how to screw your compressor until it's blue in the face Ed.
