I did some personal development a few years ago and it included learning how to meditate.  Which is all about quietening your mind first.  When you first lay down to sleep you mind is full of thoughts but you can control this and quieten everything down.  It takes some skill and practice.

Visually it is like looking at a sky with many clouds in it.  The clouds are your thoughts.  You then slowly move the clouds to the sides and eventually away to reveal a clear blue sky with maybe only one small cloud in it.  Which could be a mantra for example or simply none at all.

The music we heard while this was all going on was nothing like this track though.  This track for me anyway is too good and interesting.  What worked really well in this situation was an ambient track that started off slightly complex and busy and just thinned out over time to almost nothing.  Just like the clouds all moving to the sides of your mind and putting them to sleep.

I also really enjoyed this and thought it led me to a meditative state. It draws the mind into a relaxed and open space. Well done as usual and thanks for the nice moments, Wookiee

Nice arpeggiated sequence you have there Wookiee and like the inner voice it just keeps going round and round, so you have captured the feeling well. Like others have said I would put a very simple melody over the top, something like a flute style, you could then easily turn this into a completely different track - two for the price of one so to speak

Ed, thanks for the listen and comment.

There was one thing about this that I am surprised none of you picked up on, it could considered subtle but.......

Listened to alternate version and it certainly gives it more of melancholic feel, nice.

I listened to ver 2.  I thought the melody drove the whole song from beginning to end.  I didn't find it repetitive.  Isn't it weird how subjective music is! (Sorry for the top heavy sentence).  I enjoyed it.  It felt care free.
