I have noticed this type of trait of human nature thorough out most of my life ...
When people are hunkered down , they often stay in their own lane and play it close to the vest ...
They may be open to new things and people , but due to having a set routine or responsibilities they may decide to not spend the time or risk the intimacy...
When one of life's  curve balls gets thrown , like what happened here w Cakewalk ,  I have noticed a few people that have come out of their shells and turned into Forum Super Freaks

It seems like they got a free pass to do and say what ever they want ...

Yep!  People naturally resist change and getting out of their comfort zones.

Ironically, this is EXACTLY what they really need to do to grow and learn new things.  Oh well!

So when are you going to join one of the new forums Kenny?

Hi Craig ,

What you bring up is very true

I had a recent lesson w my health ...It is amazing how much you can fit into and enjoy your life when you don't think your not gonna be around for too much longer ...all seems OK there for now ..Yet ,I did have my doubts

Honestly speaking , this forum has been a very large part of my online life . I've used it to share music , learn new things , meet new online friends , get deals , make enemy's , joke around , get serious , hide out when I'm lazy and any other numbers of coping mechanisms I have needed to survive my day to day ...
I haven't figured out what new places I will go to as of yet ...it seems I'm milking the cow until it runs dry .

all the best,

Kenny

Well some of the avid posters that have popped up were previously perma-banned by Cakewalk and have now decided to come here and piss on the tomb stone. The mods must know who they are but don't seem to care.

I can only apologise Ken.

I realise I've been curmudgeonly, cynical, miserable, short-tempered and accusative.

I'm with James; if such signs of "growth" are inherently associated with watching your favorite tools get shuttered up, I'll happily forgo the growing part.

At this point, I'm kind of fearful that if I grow any more, I may be likely to lose an arm.

I don't think I've changed, but if I have I'll own it.
