OK Cakewalk, time to hear your plan

I feel the time for mourning has past. Be it Noel or somebody else, we deserve to know the way forward. If the party's truly over we should be getting info on how we can secure our investment.

If any of the mods can still contact Cakewalk I encourage them to do so. We need license activation codes and this continued silence is BS. Perhaps it's time for anger instead of pity. My work space is full of orphaned software and hardware that says Cakewalk on it. I feel it's time to wrap it up.

What do you think?

No kidding. The fix is in boys. I no longer respect anyone in power around here. You can't bury the truth. I feel much more like an unsecured creditor than an insecure customer now. The hosts have failed us.

John, according to Karyn, the hosts know nothing more about what's happening or is going to happen than the rest of us. Mind you, I don't for one minute believe the forums will be closed without the hosts being informed first - in other words, before the rest of us plebs find out when we try to sign in and get a 404.

But I do honestly think it's time to give up badgering them. Even if they do have an opinion or an insight, they are clearly not permitted to express these in public.

If anything, they seem to be under the same contractual obligations Cakewalk/Gibson employees would be expected to abide by.

Which is seriously messed up. In my opinion anyway.

And if I'm wrong (and I seriously hope I am), then one has to wonder if there is actually a plan to resurrect Cakewalk and/or to keep these forums open for a while.

Steve is right, the Hosts know nothing more than anyone else here.   I wish we did.  We don't have a secret hotline to the Bakers, just email addresses that any other user has (or could guess at).

My only obligation is to keep the forum functional FOR THE USERS, so people with Sonar help requests (and there are many) can still get help.    That is what the Hosts are for and as long as I'm still here I'll continue to do it.
