Not sure how often Jim drops in downstairs but do hope he sees your question Spacey and responds.  I too consider him not just a supplier (my "Centurion" DAW is still killer diller and runnin hot straight and normal) but a compatriot and friend as well.  Stand up guy.  No horse****.  He's a goodun.

Don't forget having to watch 9 hours of video to find out which screen set button to push to find out where the stereo interleave button is.

I knew I forgot something... the 9 hours of videos, DOH!!

BTW, is there a button to stop the neighbor's dog from barking?

Yes. It's called 'the trigger'. <smily face

Anyways... I'm sensing frustration... might be a good time for me to go hit some strings. :-)

all the best,
mike

It is frustrating Mike when I clearly said I had no intentions or desires to talk with him yet.
It's also frustrating when questioning the issues with X2a 64 bit and the topic is redirected to
what is working in other versions with 32 bit.
It's also frustrating sifting through all the BS or people not claiming to have issues and then you read that they are indeed having issues and decide X2a does have a bug. I don't need to mention names...they're up there posting.

It's frustrating that minimum requirements posted by the company don't mean anything. My computer
is much more than the company has plainly printed which is obviously BS if one listens to a large percentage of the members.

It's all frustrating because a person can't be a user and trust that the software they invest in will work without them being a trouble-shooting tech or being told...get a new PC from this nice guy.

It's no wonder I cringe when I sit down at my DAW. I know what I want to do and also know what
I'm going to have to do...mess more with software and computers than music.

I know I should be use to it. This isn't the first time. It's been the worst. But yeah...it's sure a frustration when people don't listen and ignore what one has clearly stated. It's also disappointing.

The Maillard Reaction
Hi spacey,
I haven't suggested that you spend a cent on a new computer,k graphics card, OS etc.

I have suggested that you consider that chat... guilty as charged... I won't do it again. :-)

I have studiously avoided telling you to do what I have done.

I have told you what I have done... I won't do it again.

If I may, when I say that my system ran X1 something just fine... it did... as long as I didn't do the stuff that made it not work. So I'm not trying to say it actually worked 99.99% and should for you... and I am gonna refer the last line and stop there.

If, by any chance, you want some one to list the step by step tweaks then maybe I can help. If I may explain, I did pay Jim to do them but that was because I appreciated the details of what he is doing... it's likely that many of us can help with the step by step Windows tweak recipe. I'm kinda a klutz with the latest bios but I'll bet Jonbouy is right up to date.

But!!! It seems like, or at least I think it seems like you were saying that you weren't ready to go there.

If by any chance you just want some commiseration about how exhausting and frustrating this is... well I am here for you.

I am sorry that the awkward ways in which I have offered sympathies have caused further headache.

I'm half way thru a jam along Blues practice CD and took a quick break... I'll be thinking good thoughts for you.

best regards,
mike

It was a list of frustrations.
One of them was directed at you and you know and know why.

Frustration is nothing. I've had zippers bother me more.

That one ****ing kills me! I see red every time I see someone flip flop like that. They don't even flip flop really, they just freaking sit there and say they aren't having issues, and a lot of times in the same paragraph ... sometimes same sentence they'll mention a bug they run in to so they don't use that function. It freaking kills me. EDIT: Or the guys who say they never have a problem, but don't use 99% of the program.

OMG! YES!@

I apologize if I took away from your thread here at all Spacey.

I agree with everything you said here.

On the subject of Studio Cat ... there's a thread floating around here somewhere where someone told him what they thought of his helpfulness here. It got real ugly IIRC. So, you're not the only one scratching you head Spacey. Jim is a hell of a nice guy, but when he helps, it's just the very basics here on the forum. If you want anything in depth, you have to call him and pay him. Hey, it's the American way. Can't knock a guy for that!
