Looks like you have a FTU in your signature ... I'd try reloading the drivers.

When you open up the driver installation file, it will ask you if you want to repair the drivers. Try that. That has actually bailed me out of a couple of situations.

Have you tried doing a real time, audible export?

I had weird happenings like that and then the project would start
playing loud and seemed to be at a different speed and the parts seemed
to be out of time...and it wouldn't stop until I forced X2 down.
I had a weird problem, kind of similar to yours. I PM'd a someone about it because I thought I was losing my marbles.

I did a Midi Piano part on Saturday and froze it. It was the length of the whole song, not just a little 10 second clip.

I'd been mixing and remixing the track for several days.

On Tuesday (IIIRC) ... I open up the project, and the Piano track was all screwed up. Random notes and chords here and there throughout the song were messed up. Kind of like someone highlighted a chord and drug it down a few places in Piano Roll View. And here's the kicker ... it was still frozen from Saturday, and had never been unfrozen.

I loaded one of the Auto-Save files, exported the Midi track from it, and was going to import it in to the main project. When I opened the main project back up, it started working fine again on it's own without having to import the Auto-Save projects Midi file.

So ... I don't know if when you freeze a track and close the project, it unfreezes the track and refreezes it when you open up the project again, and somehow the Midi got screwed up during that process ... or well ... I have no clue really. I've never seen anything like that before.

There does seem to be some weird stuff going on for sure.

I do know that I've never had my wife come running in the room yelling, "what the hell is that?"...
I told her the only thing I knew...it's X2 and it won't stop doing whatever it is it's doing. So I killed it.
I will never be a good enough tech to help define or solve the stuff that happened during that project.
I'm left with moaning a groaning and just about over that too. :)

I'd like to get a keg and do a project with you....and film it! No that'd be funny right there.

Whoops!  Sorry.  Thought this was another Ron Jeremy thread.  My bad.  Please, carry on.

Mike - have you tried re-initializing Sonar?

hold the shift key down on your keyboard as you double click on the Sonar icon to open it.

that will start the re-initializing process.
