This forum should be moderated... back handed threats referring to a willingness to pay for someone's dental work after you are done force feeding them your opinion don't last very long on forums like Gearslutz. A post such as that would be moderated swiftly. The guys making money from managing the Gearslutz site traffic know that childish outbursts like that are a distraction that hurt all forum users and they will not put up with it.



It's a testament to Cakewalk's lack of clear leadership that the policies regarding civil disagreement have become so ambiguous at this forum.

It was "force feeding an ocean of stfu" not an opinion. If you are going to mention what I say, say it correctly. If force feeding an ocean of stfu damaged any dental work, I offered to pay for it. I think that's quite generous of me, yes? To think that an entire ocean could be rammed down someone's throat even being possible shows YOUR hatred towards me to even bring it up and cheer for the trouble-maker. And, it is my choice as to whether I decide to be violent with someone if they decide to attack me or stalk the majority of my posts with sarcasm as Pete has done while the moderators do nothing. Speaking of moderation, you're a prime candidate to be moderated with all the trouble you've started past and present. You've pretty much taken turns with your passive/agressive personality with how many people on this forum? You'd be surprised at how many people you've hurt. 
 
The difference is, some of us like myself won't stand for your outbursts of "snark". You do know that word was created on your bahalf right? Poll the forum...anyone knows snark=you. There's no way you act all snarky in real life to people like you do on this forum. If that were the case, the pics you post of yourself would be sporting black eyes and split lips. 
 
If the mods don't like me upset, they should do something to the people that are out of line upsetting me as all I do is come here to share information for the price of an internet connection. And unlike you, I can share WITH and BY examples that work...not just technical mumbo jumbo that doesn't make sense...nor do you practice what you preach to deliver any goods worth listening to.
 
See what I get? I posted a rather nice final post in that guitar thread you attempted to ruin saying I didn't hate you and I'd even help you if you took the time to stop acting like you knew everything. What do I get...you come on here and quote me like I've done something wrong. Pete is a nuisance to me. That is not your concern nor is it your problem. You stick up for a dude like that when all he's done is try to bring people down and upset them on this forum? Pfff....I've really lost respect for you now.
 
I have the right to say what I want when the mods do not defend me and I've been upset by someone. Accept it...don't contribute to the problem when YOU are seriously a part of problem. It's just that no one but me, Jonbuoy and Steve have the guts to tell you that.
 
I don't like to be messed with by anyone, is that such a problem? I don't want to war with words, or war with anyone. I just want to help people and do my best at all times while NEVER lashing out unless someone has an attitude. Got a problem with me, we can solve it off the forum so no one needs to read it. But I won't sit here and take anyone's crap when they have made me feel the need to defend myself. That's the deal in a nutshell. You accept it, or you don't. It's cut and dry. Moderate the problem people and the problems in our forums go away. Instead, it's perfectly acceptable for cool people to have to take abuse and they are out of line for defending themselves? Or have someone like you attack the living crap out of me (remember the senseless ARC thread that wasn't even your fight?) or Karl (FastBikerBoy) when we've done more in a years time to help people in depth on this forum than you have the whole time you've been here? Not in my world "big guy". You're more of a problem than Pete.

Danny, Mike like everyone else knew it was a figure of speech.
 
It's probably unwise to say stuff like that on a forum because folk can take it literally and make something out of a conversation if we were having face to face would be considered as something throwaway.
 
Having said that Mike knows about pushing buttons and talks about civil disagreement, I'd say he was as nasty a piece of work as anyone yet likes to hide it behind a socially acceptable veneer.
 
It's designed to pee you off and is in every bit as abusive, trouble is hidden motives don't show up after the event and are more difficult to criticise because he will swear black is white that he's innocent of such motives, trouble is when you write the actual words describing frustration that many folk are comfortable using because they know they are not meant literally you leave yourself open to criticisms like Mike's and he'll take an easy opportunity like that every time.
 
I'd suggest editing out the offending statement just for the sake of not making yourself a target, we all know who is who around here and where we are coming from anyway.  I ain't going to think any less of you for posting it and I'm not going to think anything more of Mike for his input.  So it's just a suggestion mate but I'd just alter those words and be done with.
 
Don't allow him the ammo, he's shown himself as a sad and desparate man on many occasion and is always trying to look more impressive than he is, don't make it your problem!
 
The amount of times my Mrs has threatend to 'kill me' still haven't prompted me to get her arrested for attempted murder, normally there's just a humourous chase around the room where she gets the better of me as a result usually.  Trouble is if it got written down it could be taken out of context by someone wanting to make some mileage out of it. 
 
When you are as open about your feelings as you are Danny it shows your unguarded nature, the REAL nasty peices of work tend to make sure they come across as respectable because they are aware they have something to hide.
 
I'm suspecting that's what has happened here.  And if you ever say to me that you'll pay for my dentistry, after I've punched your lights out I'll remind you that I don't have a tooth left in my head already, I'd have to get someone to hold on to my dentures before we started fighting...

... but, Jonbouy, you are 100% wrong on this. He means what he says. He may (or may not) regret some of the things he says at a later time, but he means every word of it.

And I'm pretty sure he's going to come back and verify this for me. If I'm wrong, then I do truly apologize and I'll remove my post.

Every time my x-wife said she was going to kill me, I ducked, and left the house, because she meant it. The final 'blow' so to speak was when she came after me with a butchers knife. That was the night I packed my crap up and left.
