The third picture. Is that the impact of you hitting your tank?
That's exactly how I broke my pelvis.
Five weeks in hospital.

Hope you are doing fine.

Yeah, you should have seen the size of my willy and knackers! You did the same then? Blimey... wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy, or even the bloke who was responsible. I was six weeks in hospital with broken pelvis, both femur, left knee cap blown away and broken right wrist.

It happened in July 2009 so I'm now as good as I could ever be. My main problem is my left knee and my flexion and extension are seriously effected and as a result I now have to ride cruisers with foot forward controls, which ain't too bad I suppose.

And yes Craig... it is much quieter now thanks :) although I'm having louder pipes fitted to my cruiser this week :P

 LOL!

They are fun to ride but if the price of admission is possible death I'm not to keen to jump on it. Glad you lived to tell the story.

I have seen riders here walking their bikes on the back wheel at 90mph. I really really don't like to see body parts and pieces of bike flying all 'round....especially the body parts.

Picture 1 = Ouch!

Picture 2 = Rendered soundless by very thought of the pain.

I truly hope you is better now.

I know a little about injuries that can be inflicted from an RTA, I once used my hairy head as a brake at 60 mph.  I was a passenger in a Triumph Herald convertible the driver seemed to be keen to see if driving on the roof would save fuel.

Oops!

I'm alive, and that has to be a bonus. Left myself with a few problems though, but just got to get on with it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I wasn't too sure of posting this here. Not is if I'm after sympathy as such, but I think it's a great reminder to fellow bikers who may think they're bullet proof...
