Man six weeks in the hospital.

I hope that NEVER happens to my son. He's got a Harley.

So......what cruiser?
Old Harley rider here.

I'm embarrassed to admit to riding a Suzuki Intruder, 800cc. I know that it should really be a Harley, but the only one I like is the Night Rod, and I think I'm right in saying that most hard core Harley riders do not like the Night Rod, or any of its brothers.

At first I wasn't sure that I was going to take to foot forward controls. And some of the bikes I tried I couldn't get my left foot on the peg because it was too close, such is the remaining damage to my left leg. I then tried the Suzuki Intruder and it fit perfectly. I remember having a bit of an awkward take off, from the shop, but within half a mile it was feeling okay. It felt so good to be back on a bike after being laid up for getting on seven months.

I then looked for a second hand Intruder and one came up about ninety miles up the M6. I thought it would be wiser to get a second hand one for starters, just in case I got fed up with it. But I've still got it now, and I'm having some new pipes and a comfier seat fitted.

Glad you're ok.

Thanks Mike

bapu, It's a worry, of course, but it's good that you've given him a free reign.

Me too Ed.

It's funny though.....I've been out in the middle of nowhere on mine and hope....
man, I hope an acme safe doesn't fall out of sky and land on me....I'd sure hate that the
last thing I ever see is a damn roadrunner.

Well Tron...I'm not that type of rider. I do my thing and other riders can do theirs.

I didn't know until a few years ago that I had a name that the locals labeled me when
talking about me...."Lone wolf"...I don't really care for that pack riding. Oh I will.
I love to do runs to raise money for the kids at Xmas or such things but real riding....I go alone....and the short runs with the wife to keep her smile bright and right.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I think. I rarely go out in large groups myself, preferring my own company and the freedom to go where I want when I want. Can be such a great adventure, even if you're only a few miles from home.

My wife is a biker too and I go out with her too, of course. She is my main riding companion if I go out with anyone else.
