Trying to install Sound Forge and when I register it, it says I've registered it too many times and I can no longer use it. It says I have to contact Customer Support and get them to 'Reset' my registration counter.

I emailed them, no response. The toll free number they give out doesn't work.
Got a response via email. They "significantly" increased the amount of times I can re-register it.

Everything's comin' up Bub today. Oh yeah.

You seem to be clouding the issue with facts.

I've been using it for years. That's the problem though with the registration. HDD's crash, you upgrade your PC, and every time you do that, you have to re-register it. It only takes 3 seconds to do it if you have an internet connection on your DAW ... but they keep track of how many times you do it on their server. Once you hit the limit you have to email them and they reset the counter on their registration server.

I love it. It's way more advanced than I need. I do basic trimming and fades with it, but it can do a lot of things. I used it to RIP cassettes and LP's and clean them up. It comes with some really nice noise reduction capabilities for cleaning up noisy recordings.

I'm using 9.0, but 10 is the current version. I don't know if they updated this in 10 ... but the interfaces for the plug-in's are kind of cheesy, but they work exceptionally well. I love the EQ's in it. It comes with a really good MP3 codec and it supports dozens of audio formats and surround sound.

You can use VST's, but only 32bit ones in 9.0 as far as I can tell. :( So if you have Ozone or Melda in 32bit, you can use it.

There's envelopes as well.

You can download a demo. IIRC it's fully functional for 30 days. Look on line for package deals, you can get it and CD architect together.

Mine also came with some free extra's, like a mastering suite of VST's by the Ozone people. It works, but it's stripped down.

I have to check in to it, but if 10.0 supports 64bit VST's, I'm going to upgrade sometime soon.

IIRC 10 is still only 32bit.

It's in my Program Files(x86) only and since I'm 64bit it seems I would have installed 64bit if it was available.

Maybe I did not DL the 64bit version. I'll have to check.

They do have a great MP3 codec. I've used it for all my MP3 stuff before I
found out I could do .wav at Box. (long time ago for that stuff) Got that when I got
Vegas.

I get things smoothed out and I sure may jump.

I wanted to try Melda in it ... they have a 32bit version, think I'll get it and try it out.

Just confirmed.

Sound Forge 10 is still only 32bit. I just downloaded the most recent update 10.0.507 and it installs in Program Files(x86).
