At least Alex, the Pooch, myself (and probably most of everyone else) will never even be in the same decade him!

I'm probably as decayed as him even if I am a bit younger.

Bapu has been 60 for so long now he thinks it is getting old.

I have to make the best of it though as I haven't got long left until I'm in the same boat.

At least I'll still have the advantage in that he'll be 66 by then.

More posts and more years than me.  I'll never be as Bapu as Bapu is.

Let me say this Jon, I hope I will never be older as you or Ed. Hope that makes sense!

Dunno, got the feeling John might be ahead of Ed?

It's possible, Alex.

At age 60 it's a bit more like 5400RPM

You got that right 386X...

Well, if things go well, I get to join the 60 club this year...

As for age and record RPM speeds: rather than 78, or 45, or 33 1/3, how about the other attempt (that didn't last) of sweet 16?

Even more OT: There was a time long ago that I briefly collected old 78's... and among others had a Caruso recording on an old one-sided 78.  It took a bit before they realized they could record on both sides.  All of them are long-gone now.

And better, putzing along at a 386X level than getting eighty-sixed. <smile>

Don't forget the fun you could have as a kid playing your 78's, 45's and 33 1/3's at the two speeds they weren't made for!
