I borrowed this mike a few weeks ago and used it on as much as everything (no not everything : ).

I think it's a very good one for a price less then a sm58?

One new mike on it's way.

Less than £70 in the UK currently.

Inta seems to have the best deal on 'em just now for any UK mic slingers interested.

You can always do a $300 update to the body later if you felt inclined.

They seem to have been universally welcomed by local broadcasters, podcasters, hospital radio stations and places that normally have the budget to spend a bit more than the cost of this, but they can be seen just about everywhere like that just now.
These are the type of mics that become worth money to the collector market too in years to come because they are cheap enough to throw away and not worry about it which will make them scarce enough to those having fond sentiments about them when they are no longer readily available which drives the 'mythical' aspect bestowed on these things further down the line.

Looking at the workaday mics that were around in my youth that were nothing special at the time and now fetch silly money I'd say this fits that bill perfectly.

It will probably work well enough for anything that you want to close mic, a no-brainer for anyone on a tight budget that wants something that works.
