I could end the auction early, but I have a gut feeling it'll work out OK. Similar cars are going for about what I'd like to get, and 36 people watching the auction is encouraging.

I'm only getting slightly nervous because January kicked my **** and I could use the money.

FWIW I'm sharing your gut feeling here from how the original post sounded.

Is there anyway someone can manage the auction for you in your absence and pull it nearer the end if need be?

Being a total Luddite, I just realized I can always sort it on my phone (slaps head).


BTW - 2 more bids since I posted this thread, so the gut feeling is becoming more comfortable.

James when I couldn't be around I'd enter my maximum and let it play.

I had fun waiting for the last few seconds to enter bids though.

Been quite a while since I bid on anything.

Earlier this afternoon, I contacted some bloke called James on Ebay who happens to be selling a car.

"What's it got on the clock" I enquired.

"3.48pm" was not the answer I was expecting.

Could've been worse they could've said 75,000, -------- 74,500, --------- 74,000 with an electric drill noise in the background........
