The only thing posters like Mr. Particle do is distract us from those posts that are legitimate and could use our help. They also have a very negative impact on those of us trying to figure out the truth from fiction.

It doesn't help when posters that do have problems agree with very vague and unspecified issues that may in fact have nothing to do with the stability of X2. Often its user error but its hard to tell if we inundate a thread with vague agreements with vague issues.

In my experience those threads that focus on a single issue get solve or a bug gets reported.

What threads that just bash X2 do is confuse the forum an get members taking sides. Highly unproductive.

What can we members do to help fix this problem? My answer is read the OP an if its a bashing of X2 with no issue clearly specified we should just bypass it. Let it go. By us trying to engage with trolls all we do is cause conflict.

To me everyone here is a friend not counting the trolls. But the trolls are very few and come in packets. Greet them with a happy and friendly demeanor but don't engage. This is all they want.

I believe that X2a is a very good release but I also believe it still has bugs. I believe we should all pull together and do what this forum is best at. Which is finding solutions and helping each other.
Let us all try not to find fault with our forum friends. Let us try to remember a time when a member came to our rescue and solved a problem we were having. Let us recall all the knowledge we have been given freely from our forum friends. Think about how useful this place has been to countless people that may or may not post here. When I do those things I can't help but smile.

Obviously this post is just me speaking. None of you are required to agree with it at all. I do however hope that you do agree.

John is absolutely spot on.

Trouble is, the macabre side of us all always wants to watch a train crash

And, this is just me, but I rarely have a problem in just watching from afar.

Colin OT of an already OT thread but is your system down again? If so that really sucks, that's the second time isn't it?

I agree. We all should have ignored the thread DaveNY started.

Of course I'm going to agree with you.  Nice words. Thank you. We all have our opinions and I think we like to express them as I am doing now.  But I have tried to stay out of confronting directly the trollers. I don't like to even be in a thread that was started by a troll. What I will do is defend another when I think I should.

None of that makes me a good person. I am just getting older and have a different view about unnecessary conflict.
We are in control here. How we handle things is up to us. I just think we could do better. Including me.

Let's just put it this way...when things like not being able to breathe become an issue...as it did for me this past week, all the problems I've had become miniscule...

And let this be a lesson to all of us. Good health to all of you!!!

very good post john, i also agree with what jonesy is saying to about the train wreck too.im very guilty of sticking my nose in there more than it should,
playing the role of "what are you talking about".

im laying low for awhile on those threads.
i haven't always agreed with you john,jonesy..you either.
but i do respect you guys as fellow forum members and the help you give.like i try to as well.
