I'm thinking about mixing some videos I want to edit, but I'm wondering which approach I should take when going from Adobe Premiere to Cakewalk and back.

Is there a lot of exporting to lossless formats and back & forth between programs or is there a clean orderly fashion for working with film/video in Cakewalk Sonar X3

In short, I just want an idea of what you guys usually do when you work with video and Cakewalk. Describe your workflow because I'm brainstorming.

My workflow varies slightly depending on what kind of project. Typically I work with rough sound in Premiere and then export small reference video file to work with in Sonar. I mix and master then export stereo file back to premiere

I do the same as Dubdisciple's typical method, though I use Power Director as my vid app.

Funny, I was actually coming around to actually doing the same thing as you all described. I was using rough sound to cut and sync the video and then bringing it into Sonar X3 for a final mix of the audio.
I'm doing it that way because I notice Sonar has a hard time dealing with a lot of formats and different frequencies in an efficient way. (in other words in converts a metric ton of stuff and cant play different formats directly from my experience)

Honestly, I'd like to feature request that they add more supported file formats for audio and video. It's pretty time consuming having it deal with everything and convert it down to a format it understands.
