No pictures to prove it, but I have sighted a punk with a beard. A dark green goatee to be exact.

Though since everything he wore was black I suppose he could just have been a daring goth who discovered dark green and decided to experiment with it.

Good Lord, what is Man! for as simple he looks,
Do but try to develop his hooks and his crooks;
With his depths and his shallows, his good and his evil,
All in all he's a problem must puzzle the devil.....(robbie burns)

A bit of an OT question about punks:

Have you ever seen one with a beard?

Absolutely. Especially the crop of crust punks of the past couple decades.

The ultra manicured, spiky, colorful style of yesteryear isn't dead but it's a pain in tha ballz to do and costs money so most punks just groom up all purty for special occasions or whatevs.

PS: I currently have a full Will Riker beard and long arsed metal hair again.

It saddens me sometimes, up until 5 or 6 years ago I had just got to the stage where my hair was long enough to sit on, alas a foolish mistake was made due to the influence of a female of the species, and now I have tried a couple of times in the last 18 months to grow it back (it would take years) but I could never get past the annoying stages, and I guess I'm about to turn 54. Wish I still had it though, and I'm fairly sure that the evil woman was jealous that my hair was far better and longer than hers and that played a big part. Anyway, it's only hair.

I'm sorry, I'm afraid goatees don't count

I was in a thrash band with a first generation punk on vocals around '89 or so, his wife was a punk also. Been in touch with them both on Facebook over the last couple of years and see their photos of nights out etc and all of the punks they grew up with look the same now, some in their late 50's. Stomachs and arses have ballooned in size though, natch.

Those guys were a glimmer of hope for teenagers struggling with acne and bad hair in a world filled with the all-made up pretty boys of hair metal...

Imagine if pictures captured the smell...

Yea, because music is ALL to do with visuals.
There is no hope for music going forward. The only road I see is more computer generated crap and product. The age of so called "real" music is gone. Not saying everything was better back in the day, but at least it was, to some extent, honest. These days you can't tell the difference between a comercial and a song ... it is all bland crap.
I don't mid though, there is enough good stuff to last a lifetime, but there is no place for real music from here on and anyone thinking otherwise is kidding themselves. American Idol ... jesus christ.

You do realize everything you do in Sonar is "computer generated" though, right?
