Reading it now (in "library" installments).

Well written, IMO.

Interesting tidbit. After Born To Run was recorded and during the litigation with Mike Appel, the band was not making any money and Gary Tallant noted that when he went to see local bands playing Bruce covers, he found that those bass players were making more money playing his lines than he did for creating and recording those lines (and was then currently earning).

I read a story about Steve Hackett--former guitar player of Genesis--had a similar experience.  I think he was in Montreal on a solo tour and didn't have a great turn-out.  After the show, they went to a club that was packed.  A Genesis tribute band was playing there. 


Now THAT is feckin' hilarious!

It could be said it's (partially) his fault that there are Genesis tribute bands.
