I really wonder about some of these new drugs...back in the early 90's I admit I took some near Jim Morrison-esque doses of LSD, frequently with other "party drugs" and never once did I have the urge to eat anyone's face, tear my own face off or otherwise hurt or harm anyone. Maybe the general population is gravitating toward face eating tendencies anyway, that drugs are magnifying to the point of action.

This is exactly why I think you shouldn't have more than four band members...

As far as ammo.... the shelves are bare and it's being rationed when it does come in...and at high prices.

The Geneva Convention prohibits the use of hollow point ammo on the battle field against foreign troops in a theater of war...... so..... could I assume that it's officially prohibited for use against foreign troops on a battle field,,,,,, BUT not prohibited against civilians in our own country..... would that be a fair assessment?

That would be the ONLY explanation Herb

Have you seen the mess with the Joint Force exercise going on in Florida to supposedly be in prep for something else where?   No need to be flying BlackHawks down the streets of Miami shooting blanks and the public not aware of the purpose or even worse just a cover up for something much bigger
Yeah I saw that... on Drudge IIRC.... what the heck is the govt thinking doing that?  I hear they are doing it in several large cities around the US of A...  I believe the constitution prohibits the deployment of US troops on US soil..... their excuse for not putting the military on the Mexican border.....

so technically, the choppers firing blank rounds are in the air...not ON the US soil (ground).  Is that their rational? Training for urban warfare or "inoculating" the US population for the next step.... tanks rolling down main street?

Maybe they can just deploy UN (multinational troops) on US soil.... that would again not technically be US troops... ya?

What a tangled web they are weaving.

Makes you wonder just how many people have lost their lives because of the so-called "War On Drugs" which has pushed the drug trade exclusively into the hands of criminal psychopaths.

I used to smoke a bit of weed but to be honest I never felt comfortable about where it came from and what kind of hands it had passed through. Was I sitting there with a happy smile on my face, high on a plant that people had chainsawed heads for? Did anyone lose their lives somewhere along the chain? It's a good a reason as any to stop indulging in pot and other drugs, unless you're 100% sure where they came from (and not everyone gets theirs from the friendly hippie down the road who has a grow room in his basement).

Most of the weed available in the UK comes from one of 2 major sources - imported from the Netherlands, or grown in this country (by ever increasing numbers of organised Vietnamese rings). Either way, I don't think anyone's getting chainsawed over it.

+1 for shoehorning a completely irrelevant political issue into the discussion

Yeah there's probably nobody getting chainsawed over it, but I would not be surprised if at some point up the chain you are dealing with gangsters with guns. As I recall in the UK, the last guy I used to get it from was an outright hippie, but he wasn't too comfortable about the guy HE got it from, and said that THAT guy's supplier, on the couple of occasions that he'd met him, was a very shady looking gangster indeed. Always best to get it from the person who grew it if possible. At least it's not as bad as it was back in the 80's and early 90's in the UK, when most of what was available was decidedly suspect "hashish" (quotes intended) which usually came packed with various fillers like henna, and in some cases, vinyl (when people say "I wish we could go back to the days of vinyl" it has two meanings for me )

CRAP... wow, another reason to do something about the "War on drugs" at least concerning pot and hash. The WOD is never going to tbe something that can be won. It makes things worse in most cases BUT... while I think pot and hash being illegal is nonsense, where does it stop? The libertarian in me says that all drugs should be legal, the pragmatist says, "remember quaaludes?", then I have to rethink it. Some things like ludes and PCP are truly dangerous. Personaly, in my view, if it grows on this planet... I have a right to it as a resident. I am on the fence about LSD. Some people have problems, most dont... in any case, it seems to me that the more that gets legalized, the more drugs that are truly dangerous are going to be pushed by the cartels. I really don't know the right answer but pot really shouldn't be included in the discussion. I think if Dupont hadn't pushed the demonization of pot when they wanted to eliminate hemp from being a competitor with their "then new" synthetic fibers.. we wouldn't be having this discussion, at least not about pot.
Just an opinion, YMMV.

Well that takes me back - we had some stuff once which looked totally genuine until you tried to heat it, then it just fell apart and the insides looked like something from  a vacuum cleaner bag.

We didn't smoke it.
