As Moderator Spam Killer-Gets so old seeing it in our FORUMS

Be careful what you ask for!  I'm a Senior Admin for another forum and my primary job is to deal with spammers.  It can get very time consuming!

Im one of those people that have nothing better to do being house bound and seeing I spend ALLOT of time floating in my music room and the Forums,  

I could wack a few as I see them to make it better for everyone else.

What involved-hit a ban button or something?

You wish!  Besides the forum posts, you have to kill the member and, usually, there's multiple layers of things you can ban like email address, IP, partial domain, etc.  Some requires you to go to an Admin page of the forum, others you have to log into a database and run some SQL or scripts.

There's also a Spam reporting site that I'll add the asshats to so others can ban them before they get the chance to spam.
