This isn't your father's Cakewalk. "You never shake up an organization by keeping it around." That's mine, you can't use it, but you can think about it.

I assumed  Willie had passed away and it was a requiem not because he had left Cakewalk?

I think it's what is known as a late bulletin or ancient history. Either that or an early anniversary mention.

I've been on the giving and receiving end of business mergers. One thing I have observed is that they are seldom able to change the corporate direction when the old management team is left in place. Usually the smaller partner only keeps a few management types around. The new management types want to have them as consultants. If you don't make it fairly decisive the organization will adopt change very slowly, if at all. I think Cakewalk is in the process of implementing change.

ok,all is well and Willy is alive and kicking-thought i was the victim of a dick/willy joke there for a moment.
ps:mccue:can you at least try to be contemporary with your news?

ampfixer:am assuming by your reply that Willy left as a result or because of the Roland merger?
if so ,for everyone who has read the FAQ`s at the top of this page we should be grateful.

cheers
