I said this from the beginning, it's not going to turn out good.

Steve and others stated opinions. Someone said it was " hostile." Claims of over reacting have been made.

Most (not all) committee members that are labeled "hosts" have done nothing but defended their position.

Now we are getting into what the forum actually does with an edited post!

Nobody sees this going in a bad direction?

I have asked to be removed from the committee and thus have declined to be a host in the future.

IMHO, the rest should do the same.
