If you think what you're going to say to *any* user on this forum, either publicly or privately is objectionable or may constitute moderation intervention, you shouldn't voice it on the Cakewalk Forums. Period. In that case, I'd like to say hear and now that *I* find the terms Cakewalk, Sonar and X3 offensive, so what ya gonna do now ? Tell everyone they can't use those words ? There are always people that will decide they are offended by something. It's like they want to be most of the time and to be honest how people can be offended by anonymous words on a computer screen is totally beyond me. Can we not just have some kind of autoreply feature built in that tells people who claim to be offended to just grow up ! ? ;) Have to say that I totally agree with most everything Steve says. The very notion of putting people "in charge" of deciding whether a post/thread is playing by the rules or not when some of those same people are among the most flagrant flaunters of said rules has to be questionable at best, however loveable they might be. Regardless of that and even if the selected few are whiter than white, it still feels like a backward step and another nail in the coffin of this place I once loved. I'm sure that nobody wants to see a return to the pages and pages of spam that were a daily occurence at one point, but that problem seems (fingers crossed) to have been solved by existing methods, so it's hard to see why there is any need to further fix something that isn't broken. Obviously, it goes without saying that it's your forum and you can do whatever you like and if people don't like it they can always go elsewhere, but frankly this place is dying on it's arse as it is and needs all the posters it can get. He said "period".
