Seriously, people need to get past the denial/hope stage and accept the death of Sonar. Even if MS would touch this, they would load it up with ads and spyware. The developers are gone. The code is probably unintelligible at this point. MS would already be developing their own daw by now if they were interested in this market.

Done, hope it works.  I've been with Cakewalk since the mid 90's and would hate to have to start over with something else.  

Done.  What the hell.  An MS/CW marriage - rather than the longstanding engagement they've had - might just be the thing (or at least get rid of some of the bugs).  Bring Sonar into the Windows Kernel (whatever that means).
