OMG Im being driven off of FB because the news keeps on flooding my page with info about how the Notre Dame QB fell for a fake girl friend.

They REALLY need to get over it!!!

Most epic non-story of the year so far.

And I love how newspapers now consider the content of Twitter to be newsworthy now. It's all over the place. Imagine if there was no Twitter....God forbid they would have to hire some real journalists.

I settle for a fake girl  I'd settle for any girl. I may as well face it if I ever find one she'll prolly look like the female equivalent of me

I guess I should count my blessings - the only things that show up in my newsfeed seem to be related to my "likes". This morning, it was an article about Jack Kerouac. A couple of days ago, I had an interesting one about Bruce Lee.

I don't know even what or who a Notre Dame BQ is.

Hes the Quarter Back for their football team Christian.

We are right on the border in Michigan just North of Notre Dame so of course the news blows this stuff up when something happens.

Unfortunately I like most of the news that comes across from liking my favorite news station, but this kinda stuff just rubs me the wrong way.  Once they report a piece of news, I wish they would move on to something else.

Id hate to remove the like which I have in the past until stuff like this settles but that method get old fast LOL

It seems that today we give Twitter, Facebook, the internet and network television equal weight when it comes to providing news.
Last year CNN gutted their investigative news department. Am I the only one that finds something wrong with all this? Who cares what Ashton Kutcher had for breakfast, not I. I don't think that we can trust social media. There's no checks and balances for anything that shows up online, yet we take it as fact.

More and more, I find that the stuff on TV and online doesn't match the reality I see when looking out the window.

I don't trust any of them. Never did.

Mr. Harper recently met the two winners of a reality TV show (an abomination from back home called Occupation Double - think Jersey Shores), didn't he? Meanwhile, the First Nations protests went on and on...

Keeping people stupid and misinformed is a lucrative business.
