The Maillard Reaction
backwoods

I read a few articles about LA yesterday and one guy had a good point- all the cyclists who doped should come out- don't leave one guy to hang out and dry.

That's kinda what has already happened... most of the guys that took 2nd place against LA have already stated they were on the juice trying to do it.

Stuff like that.

No matter what he did his charity still has helped more people than his doping has hurt.

I don't know....

I just find the whole Livestrong scenario a bit odd. If we were to penalize an entire charity over his existence as founder then why not carry it further?

Take his role in enticing many youth into the sport..throw that out?
All the products he used? Never mind endorsed? Don't use them?
I've even heard some 'nice' people suggest that his drug habit started when he was taking chemo for his cancer..he should have died in other words.

There is also the whole 'did he? Or did he not come clean' thing going on...when will it end? When he admits that he also got everyone into the drug thing? From the beginning?

What does Live Strong do?

More than any of us combined will do in our life time........

The web site and its info alone is more than "Doing" something.

Who cares if they make money..............are we f****ing socialist.......

I don't care................make money, mismanage money..........whatever.

Lets just all run around "Fat" and "Out of Shape ".................who cares about health knowledge and disease.........

Better yet........lets spend more $$$ at McDonalds.......they manage their $$$ better and they don't pretend to be healthy or even care.

I am sorry Zungle, but I cannot disagree with you more. He is a cheat and a lier. Giving stolen money (and that is what he did by misrepresenting himself) to throw parties and feel good seminars is hardly a mitigating factor.

I do follow cycling (and cycle myself), and there are a lot of honest cylists who want to compete fairly. If Armstrong is in any way rewarded for cheating and lying then it completely devalues the inegrity of all honest people. The foundation should hang its head in shame, and its sponsors should take their money elsewhere... to organizations that genuinely help people.

I'm trying to understand ...

So...a thief breaks in my house and steals everything from a small family and helps out
numerous families with all my goods....I guess it's alright because the thief helped more
people than he hurt.......is that like Robin Hood logic? ...WTF?
