Nothing will kill you faster than processed foods. Both my parents, unfortunately, very much into eating crap. I grew up around an absolutely crap diet.
In my 20s I totally changed that behavior and have spent nearly ten years on a mostly pescetarian diet, with occasional game meat. I haven't had fast food since eating burger king sometime in early 2007.
Mom and dad are spending their mid 60s very sick. My brother was recently diagnosed with type 2, and high triglycerides.
If I am out and about all day long, and I get stuck in a situation where my options are: No food. Wendy's or McDonalds. I simply do not eat.
When I see people, and they weigh 300 pounds, and they are coming out the door of McDonalds, with a Coca Cola in the hand... I do not find it funny.
Recently I've given up red bull.
Cigarettes.. I only smoke hand rolling tobacco, but I'm damn addicted to nicotine, and I do not have an answer for it yet.
What I might have to do, is give up beer ( the only alcohol I drink ), coffee ( love it ), and cigarettes.. all at the same time.
This might be the only way for me to quit smoking.. all three are very linked for me.
