As long as you stay in your bubble you should be fine.

i get a flu shot every season.

i have done this, for 20 years now.

can't remember the last time i actually got the flu.

bad head colds, yes, other viruses, yes, but not the flu.

i get the flu shot in october.

i don't know why you would want to wait any later than that.

3 flu viruses were included in the shot.

the best they can do, is track and monitor and try to create a flu shot that covers the worse offenders, they can't get them all.

and flu viruses are pretty varied.

I rarely get anything. My wife is an elementary school teacher.... and being around 4th graders means she gets exposed to all sorts of things....and generally keeps a cold all season long.

For some reason, I never seem to catch it.

I don't take the flu shots ever.  This year, they are admitting that the flu shot they are administering to everyone doesn't even have the right stuff in it to handle the flu that is going around in this so called epidemic.... so why would you even want to pay to get THAT shot? Useless shot with a dose of mercury on the side? Yeah.... I'll pass.

For those that do get it.... I hear it's pretty bad..... the news paper here said that 2 have died and lots more are in bad shape..... here locally.... oh well.... I may get it tomorrow..... or not...
I'm waiting for the one that jumps the animal human barrier, and mutates and turns into an epidemic of biblical proportions..... the kind of thing they make sy-fi movies about.... they say we, as humans, are way overdue for something like that...... statistically speaking....

Get well soon....

That's actually normal for any flu outbreak. The media is a disgrace, every year they publish scare stories about how this new outbreak is the deadliest for years, how millions of people could be affected, how hundreds are dying and how it could turn into a national crisis. It never happens. NEVER. The number of people killed is always about the same, and the people who die are the same people who are at risk from the most mundane flu outbreak - the old, the sick, the weak. Normal healthy people aren't dying of flu in America or Europe.

I took a shot of butterscotch schnapps.  I think it will help me avoid the flu.

Rumor has it that you've been floppy for 6 years though.

Yeah...... they sensationalize everything..... because it sells whatever media they are selling.... The 2 people who died here in our local area made the front page of our tiny paper.  It takes all of 2 minutes to read the paper thoroughly.

I work quite often in nursing homes and while they are not checking or stopping me, they have signs on the front doors warning anyone who might even think they are sick to stay out or wear a surgical mask, and wash hands......

I don't doubt the flu is a nasty bug... it always is.... fortunately, we have not seen anything like the Spanish flu that occurred back in the early part of the 1900's... IIRC it decimated the world and killed 18 million people. Then again.... medicine and science has come a long way since then as well.....
