I have internet access!
… visited a nonprofit bank in Nairobi that offers small business loans in a cultural context (if that makes sense). This is a market near the bank where one of its customers runs a small retail shop. It smells of raw sewage, rotting fruits and vegetables and burning garbage. The smell does not leave you for a while.
From Nairobi we moved on to a “town” outside of Naivasha and stayed in a house walking distance to the school where we worked for the week. One of the guys in our group felt they needed a couple of sheep so he went out and negotiated with the Maasai for a couple of sheep. He had no way to get them back to them back to the school so he hired a cab. Here is one of the sheep arriving at its new home via “taxi”:
We just left the school and took a small plane to Mara so I will have internet access for a day before heading back to Amsterdam and then home (two back to back 8 hour flights). Here is a shot from the plane:
I have some pictures from the school that I will post but the girls are in a lot of them and I want to look at them closely after I get home before I post them.
