Every time I read things like 'Breaking Hearts', 'It feels like I have just lost a family member' etc etc I just want to throw up, I just roll my eyes and think, it's just software, get over it. Any wonder people on other forums always comment on the mental state of Cakewalk forum members, Brainwashed is a term often used.

Just make sure you don't choke on your vomit because your eyes will roll back then, and everything that matters in life well i guess you can't feel any of it and we wont miss you either.

If Gibson own it, which I believe they do it is there decision to make, if they don't want to to sell it that's their business, maybe they tried to sell it but no one is interested because it has been a losing proposition since the Roland days even before, it's just not viable, who would want to buy something that just loses money hand over fist year after year? You can't blame Gibson for not wanting to prop Cakewalk up any longer than they already have, put the blame where it belongs, right at the foot of Cakewalk, that's where the buck stops, like it or not.

It's now become patently obvious that Cakewalk was losing money both before and after Gibson's acquisition of the company from Roland. So why aren't you also blaming Cakewalk's uninspiring software designers? Or Cakewalk's inept marketing department?
 
For all we know Cakewalk was just about to go completely tits up in 2013 if Gibson hadn't stepped up and tried to save them. They've definitely been bankrolling a failing asset for four years whichever way you slice it.

It's software. Buggy software at that.  And the blame fully lies with Cakewalk who dumbed the program down and then ignored users when they complained.  The bakers never gave a **** about the program, and definitely not you. 

Chill out...go drink some scotch and learn a new DAW.  You might be pleasantly surprised by mixing things up. 

Lol back when I was talking people out of using Sonar when they would ask me for advice if they should switch, I used to show this forum as an example of the support for Sonar and how insane and "stepford wife" it was.  Dude, I used to think John was the most mentally ill user here, but you might take the cake.  

Although, John in particular turned one person off I showed the forum to that it was a deciding factor in them now switching to the program when I showed them the forum.  So I do get a kick out of knowing that a crazy zealot like John actually caused Cakewalk to lose a sale. Hahaha
