Wasn't there an argument back in the early synth days that using them was a "musician violation" and that it was not real music because it was not made by real musicians?

Yes.  and I'm glad someone besides me brought it up, but I did think about it!

and we haven't even touched the "drum programming" subject yet...

I believe it was Thomas a-Beckett that said ''Verily, the drop-D lute is the Devil's Work, it doth require but little skill....burn him''

Shakespeare said "A synth chamber choir by any other name is still blasphemy" or summat like that

Will I be burned at the stake for using my Line 6 modeling guitars?

spacey
I think there should be a program that has one big knob.

The user dons a really spacey looking helmet that supplies oxygen, food and beverages
while they kick back an imagine they are a supper star on stage playing the tune in their head.
When the gig was over they could turn the knob and two DVDs would shoot out on the desk....
one shrink-wrapped including bar code and the other ready to watch and listen to.

I refuse to listen to bands that have hybrid guitars (i.e. non-standard issue parts, such as Seymour Duncan pups in a 63 Strat). That's not a "real" guitar.

BIABDude
BIAB was made as a tool to jam with
BAIB is nothing like a real studio musician
I think it funny when people take credit for playing the BIAB instruments.

welcome to the world of BIAB you are hooked!

Daryl sez I'm a knob jockey.

I did not know he's seen my console.
