Scientists annoy me, they're always going on about Boyle's Law and Archimedes' Law.

Pfft.... One came up to me and said. "If you had an apple which experiences no net force, then its velocity is constant: the apple is either at rest, or it moves in a straight line with constant speed - that's Newton's Law"

So I said "Here's one for you: If you have an apple, a carrot, a cabbage, mayonnaise and mix them all up together, it tastes really nice - that's Coles Law"

Since the Earth is spinning at roughly 1,000MPH (Depending on where you're standing), does that mean that nothing is ever at rest?

People that thank someone else for pointing something out in a thread that you already pointed out and nobody says anything on your behalf like, "Bub already pointed that out dingbat!". ;)

People who can't do math arguing with people who can. About math. 

Two things that annoy me:

1. People who think that the acceptable abbreviation of "mathematics" is "math"
   
   It's "maths". Mathematics has an 'S' on the end, so should the abbreviation.
   
   It's a bit like folk who insist on using the incorrect plural 'Court Martials' instead of 'Courts Martial'
2. Pedantic people
