My first thought was The BEATLES. King Crimson went through several changes. Clapton has a bit of a diverse catalog though he seems to have settled down into the elder bluesman role lately. Jeff Beck has some diversity too... some of it so diverse it takes some getting used to. Fleetwod Mac went through several different stages that are really different from the others. I still like the Bob Welch era the best.
Change is good. It seems like if a musician or group stays on the same ground for too long they cannot change, the fans wont support them. C'est La Vie...

Let's not forget Zeppelin, definitely diverse in their own way!

Also Bowie deserves a mention, he even had a crack at drum 'n' bass in the 90's.

The band with the most diverse catalogue in my collection would be Amon Duul to Amon Duul 2.

Thanks for this. I missed them. I found a few albums on Spotify but not the better ones. I did find them on Youtube though. I started listening to Yeti last night but it was late and I didn't finish.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNfpFuXBDLY

I may have to do some shopping.

Thanks again!

I was inspired to listen to Yeti by the same thread I think. I know for certain I'll never do that again.
