I've had it since before it was a VST.  Very good tuner. Problematic VST plug structure. 

Anything worth knowing more about?

The thing that has kept me from trying/buying it is that I don't usually do tuning or set up work near my computer and I'm not fond of setting a computer just to tune.

If I'm working with a band I'm usually trying to get the guy who's not playing to check his tuning in the interim... so having the tuner living on the DAW seems counter to the idea that I can occasionally make tuning happen as an aside without stopping a session.

I don't see stopping and having everyone listen to one player use the main DAW to tune as practical compared to other options.

If I already think the VST may be too inconvenient... are there aspects that make it even less convenient than I imagine?

It works great in standalone mode.  And, it "works" as a VST plugin as well.  But, unless there's an update I haven't got yet (a possibility) the VST is run under a proprietary bridging shell which, to me, seems both archaic and unnecessary.  Do love having it tho...and those "sweetened" tunings are very good.

I haven't used a strobe or any tuner since I quit gigging- other than the
digital ones that I don't care for.

"Stand-alone" is fine. Accuracy with cent division is what I'm after.
The lower priced ($50.00) offer would probably do fine but then I'd wonder
and wished I'd just got the works. (download for $100.00)

Mike-  I do all my critical listening at my DAW which includes setting-up a guitar.
Usually a reference pitch is all that I need but there are those days when I need confirmation and the digital tuners I have just add frustration and disappointment.
