ah!  I've never heard that slang term.

I would have understood "bender" or "fest" tho.

Krispy Kremes are very good, tho!  I could easily "binge" on them!
Depending on where you visit in the UK you'd probably find the best replacement in a local bakers.  There are regional delicacies that serve the same purpose but are called different things, i.e. 'Drippers' in the Gloucestershire region and 'Yum Yums' further north those kind of things have the required excess of fat and sugar that satisfies...

We don't get twinkies over here either, I'm not actually sure what one of those is.

They're not called "Roonies?"

our local bakers don't hold a candle to Krispy Kremes in taste and quality.  but there are just so many of them.  plus the local bakers will also offer kolaches and other "meat" breads which KK did not, which is what I suspect was the downfall of our local KK store.  that and the local bakers could charge less for less resource overhead (the machines and the building were very expensive, I'm sure).

Krispy Kreme is HQ'd in Winston Salem NC.  I had a few jobs to do in WS and had the opportunity to stop at their HQ donut shop.  Got those glazed beauties as they were coming off the cooker....

They expanded a bit to fast (as a company) and over extended..... when the market turned down, they ended up in bankruptcy and had to sell off or close a bunch of locations. They still have quite a few locations here in NC so we get them when we want.... aside from the health aspect of eating lots of donuts.... yeah we have them on the counter every now and then.

the chocolate glazed are pure evil...... in such a tasty disguise.

As far as the video.... that was horrible, not to mention those kids know nothing of safe handling of firearms.

JAG= Judge Advocate General?

There is not much better than a hot Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut... we recently got a Dunkin' Donuts so I figure Krispy can't be far behind. I imagine that they are sort of like Loews and Home Depot. One pops up and soon the other does too.
Dunkin' is OK but they aren't Krispy Kreme.. good or bad?? Who cares? ..as long as they are hot and fresh, you only live once.

I can proudly say that I have never purposely eaten tofu... I think they put it in the egg drop soup at one Chinese restuarant where I eat Mongolian Beef. That is one dish I want to learn how to cook but I haven't found a good recipe.

I saw the scariest Krispy Kreme combo ever, at the CNE this year. The midway was a buzz about this particular hamburger. It was a huge burger with bacon and cheese, topped with a fried egg. Instead of a bun they used a KK glazed. It was gross, yet strangely compelling.

  I thought I had a picture of one of these. It was the "big thing" at the NC state fair a few years ago.  Totally disgusting.... I think we each took a bite and threw the rest away.... of course, they might not have been using the KK donuts..... just saying...

There's a foot race here in Raleigh every year. The start and run... 5 kilometers? I think to the Krispy Kreme on Person Street, fill up on doughnuts then run back to the starting point.
I think it's called The Run and Ralph.
