After "wasting" a bit of time learning to create videos from screen captures, I decided that I deserved a treat for my last session of the year and started to rehearse that cool guitar solo - pure fun, just candy, really, something I don't really allow myself to do that often. But that song called for it.
Well, apparently, my E string didn't feel like singing and decided to give up just as I was getting ready to record. No back up left - in fact, this
was my last back up set for strings that size. Must be the first time in quite a while that I don't have at least a few spare sets handy. Oh well... Hopefully, GC is open on January 2nd.
Anyway, new year'e eve, my lovely lady works both tonight and tomorrow, so things are pretty quiet around here. I've finished studying (at last!) the Logic certification stuff, I am still totally brain-fried, so much that, for once, I don't feel like mixing or messing w/ plug-ins and studying. Say what?!!
I think the last time I voluntarily took a night off was, uh, back in Russia last spring. I often miss Moscow, did I mention it?
It's somehow disconcerting not to be working when I would have the opportunity and nothing else to do. But that's alright, I like disconcerting, every now and then. So I guess I'll be off to listen to some good old rock and roll.
But I had to take a few minutes to wish you guys and ladies a Happy New Year!
