What about a general organ soft synth package...any good ones to recommend?

One cool source that people tend to overlook is Dimension Pro's Virtual B3 subfolder (buried under Organs in the free Expansion Pack 1).  All of DP's controls are converted to drawbars, Leslie speakers, percussive attack, etc.  All of the sounds are generated from a sine wav and click file.  An external Leslie effect can enhance these programs.

There was a descriptive image of the Virtual B3 control layout floating around this forum.  I can't seem to find it here or in my backups.  (Notice how all of the front panel controls are both enabled and grayed out.)  The 'virtual b3.sfz' file serves as the basis for all of the program files [96 - Virtual B3 folder under Multisamples].

Found the dimension B3 organs and they sound pretty good...thanks for the tip.

I've been messing with the Crazy Diamond plugin.  Man, that thing, out of the box, sounds soooo much like the Floyd stuff it would almost be a copyright issue to use...hehehehe!!!  Love it!

Too bad no one saved the DimPro Virtual B3 writeup from sonarama. Sure could use it now.

Yeah, and it was my dumbass that uploaded it (from this 7 year old thread).  Maybe Bob Hammond (ironically enough) from Technetos can glean it from the Project5 Wiki archives.

I'm attempting to piece it together from the .sfz file notations.  I see at least 18 active 'GUI_' controls, though.  The three EQ sections appear to cover the nine drawbars.  FX Input is the Key Click.  I believe that FX Left and Right are the Doppler effects, with BitRed controlling the rate(s) of both.

That's as far as I got.  I'm winging it as I write here, and some of that description may be wrong.

Edit:  Perc (added short envelope fifth harmonic) is the Decim control.
Note:  Enabling a 'normal' panel control with these GUI_controls results in two 'effects' in parallel.

That's gold, gigasonar!  Let me save it someplace safe right now (on several USB sticks that I'll lose)!  Time to edit the original post with this image, too.

It looks like I got it right from the .sfz file, but I was driving myself crazy with those other 'unused' controls.  As I recall, Rene always wanted to do more with this kind of configuration.  I know that he wasn't happy with the Doppler effect as it was implemented.

A little late to this dialog -- and you are far beyond me anyway -- but there is a patch called 'Floyd organ' in the 'Dimension' folder (first folder on Dim Pro) that is pretty tasty and mellow.
