Fortunately Ive been blessed with a daughter that all she wants to do is study her school work, read books and go out and take pictures if its nice out.  

But most of the time she spends in her room just reading and studying

Hiya, Mike. I was the same way as a kid. When I was at home I was mostly in my room reading, playing guitar, etc... My parents (who were kind of jerks) were CONVINCED I was on drugs and all sorts of other stupid stuff but I was a total hard assed straight edge. All my friends drank and smoked pot and stuff but I never did. My friends were kind of rough around the edges and all older than me but they respected that and looked out for me. Even if I had wanted to partake they wouldn't have let me (and probably would have smacked me upside the head too). It was pretty crappy having my folks constantly accusing me of sh*t and it really kind of made life miserable. If she talks to you (as much as a teenager will) then I'd say don't get too weirded out by it. There's a whole lot more crap kids can get into these days and it sounds like maybe she's just not into that which is a really good thing. I'd say load her up with books and whatever she wants for her room. At least that way she's at home doing stuff she likes instead of off hanging out with this current crop of idiot teenagers. Internet stuff can be concerning though so if she's got a computer in there you might want to keep an eye on that.

Your cease less and casual berating of third parties seems like a habitual pastime that you seem to consider fair play.


It seems rude to me.


If you want to speak about your parents... I can lend a sympathetic ear. 


If you want to start judging strangers and pointing out what you consider their flaws... especially by making third person commentary... well, that just seems unnecessary and rude.

What the hell are you talking about? I was referring to my own parents. And frankly I don't think you are one to judge about criticisms... which that post was not.
